PW Enews March 2014

 A Word from Our Moderator

March is coming in like a lamb this year, it appears. Thank goodness! It has been an unusual (to say the least) winter, weather-wise, and I think most of us will be happy to bid it farewell. As we look forward to spring, we’ll enter into the season of Lent next week. I need to make an effort to give myself more quiet, contemplative time in my busy weeks – what better time to focus on that than now. I am thankful for my friends in PW and the encouragement they always give me.

In our PW calendar, we are well into our monthly Bible study for the year and are looking forward to our annual retreat at the end of April. We are also making plans for next year and working to put together a Coordinating Team of women to lead us. If you are interested in serving with some of your fellow women of the church, please let me know. We need you and you will enjoy the experience!

Your Sister in Christ,

Nancy Thompson

PW Retreat Update

Please Help Us Guesstimate Retreat Attendance

Can you please help us to estimate our Spring Women's Retreat enrollment, by notifying us that you plan to come?

This year we decided to simplify the sign-up and not make it a two-step process (pre-registration followed by paid registration).

The resulting challenge, however, is that we don't have a likely enrollment figure, for ordering some of our retreat materials.

So . . . if you have not yet registered and you do plan to come, please send Linda Morningstar an e-mail ( ), with the Subject line: YES Spring Women's Retreat.

(Attached is the registration form, if you're ready to go ahead and sign up.) Thank you!
