Way Cool Sunday School 

For 3-year-olds through 5th graders, Way Cool meets every Sunday at 10:00 am.  

In the preschool class and depending on the lesson each week, the 3 and 4-year-old children may use all 5 senses, movement, singing, and different art mediums to learn about God and God's love. 

The children in kindergarten thru 5th grade will be doing the rotational program in three groups (K & 1st; 2nd & 3rd; and 4th & 5th) learning about Tests of Faith throughout the Bible and history.  The rotational program consists of six classes: Cooking, Drama, Movement, Art, and Travel.  

New this year, we will be adding a mission segment to Way Cool where the kids will work on a mission project that supports those missions dear to NPC.  They will participate in this mission project when we gather together in room 110/111 at 10:00am on Sunday mornings.  Each session of Way Cool will introduce a new mission project to the kids.  

The six class descriptions are as follows:

1. Exit Stage Left: The children will dress up in costumes, will re-enact a Bible story, and will learn by  being the story. 
2. Noah's Art: The children will use different art mediums to explore the Bible story.
3. Solid Rock Cafe: The children will prepare and eat food as an illustration of the Bible story.
4. God Rocks: The children will interpret the Bible story through large body movement, physical  activities, and games.
5. Travels with Jesus: The children will experience the geography of the Bible story.
6. Group Class: All the children will meet together and will work on various projects and missions together.

The 2011-2012 Way Cool Sunday School calendar is as follows:

Session I - Creation (September 18- October 9, 2011); Mission Project: Stocking the shelves at North Fulton Community Charities by filling Ziplock bags with rice and beans.

Session II - Plague & Passover (October 16- November 13, 2011); Mission Project to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Session III - Wandering in the Wilderness (November 20, 2011- January 8, 2012)

Session IV - The Incarnation (January 15- February 12, 2012)

Session V -  Feeding of 5000 (February 19- April 8, 2012)

Session VI - The Lord's Prayer (April 15- May 20, 2012)

The co-superintendents this year for Way Cool are Katie Day and Nancy Girard.  They, in conjunction with the many Sunday School volunteers, hope to make this a fun and meaningful year for the kids of NPC.
