What is Harmony House?
Harmony House Counseling Site is a cooperative effort of the Care and Counseling Center of Georgia and several North Fulton churches.  Harmony House provides personal counseling for people   of all faiths as well as those who profess no religious beliefs.  Supporting churches  are North Atlanta Community Church, Northminster Presbyterian Church, and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Will I meet with a psychologist?

You will meet with a pastoral counselor (a minister educated in theology and trained in psychotherapy).  Each counselor is certified by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and licensed by Georgia.  CCCGA also staffs a consulting psychiatrist, clinical psychologist and licensed clinical social worker.

Are my visits private?

Yes.  All client information is held in strict confidence. CCCGA honors its obligation to safeguard personal details obtained through counseling.

Do I pay by the hour?

Session fees are flexible and are agreed upon during your first meeting.   Scholarships are also available.  Your pastoral counselor can answer any questions in confidence based on your individual circumstances.  Our mission is to provide counseling for everyone regardless of financial status.

Are other services provided?

Harmony House counselors provide programming for lectures, workshops, retreats and seminars for church groups.  Subjects include marriage and family life, relationship enhancement, stress management, communication skills, lay ministry training and personal development.

Harmony House counselors provide additional counseling support for persons participating in twelve step programs.
