NDS Staff

Most of our teachers from the three, four, and five-year-old classes have teaching certificates and have been teachers in an elementary setting at some point. Among them, they have hundreds of years of experience and still enjoy coming to work every day! The teachers are top on the list of what makes Northminster Day School a special place to learn.

Andrea Bourgeois

Andrea Bourgeois, Director

I am excited to begin my 9th year at Northminster Day School! After teaching in the 3's and kindergarten classes, I was thrilled to fill the role of director of this wonderful school!

I graduated from the university of Alabama with a degree in early childhood/elementary education and have been an educator for more than 22 years! I taught kindergarten and 3rd grade in the public and private school system for eight years. I have been married for 18 years to my husband, Mike, and am a mom to Madelyn 16, Michael 13, and Reid 10.

I am blessed to have met so many wonderful families through NDS and to work with creative and dedicated teachers who make our preschool a warm and loving environment for our children to grow and learn.

My husband Roman and I met when we both moved to Georgia with our careers and have been married for 10 years come April.

Natalie Barnes, Business Manager

I have worked for Northminster Day School for 2 years. I keep track of the Day School’s finances, and I am happy to answer any questions you have about your statements. A little background: I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting, and worked for 9 years at a large corporation in downtown Atlanta. When I had my family, I took time off to stay home with my two daughters and my son. Now that they are in middle and high school, I enjoy working for both the church and Day School. Hearing your little ones’ happy voices and laughter coming down the hall is always a treat. The atmosphere here at Northminster Day School is fun and comfortable at the same time. I’m sure you will enjoy your time here!

Hola! My name is Adriana Inchauste and I am the Northminster Spanish teacher for the 3, 4, and Kindergarten students. I was born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia and came to the United States 22 years ago. After graduating from Florida State University, I moved to Atlanta in 1997 to work for CNN en Español.

After living in Brazil in 2001, I decided to come back to Atlanta and start a family. Since then, my family has grown to three bilingual children, all proud Northminster graduates! I have been teaching Spanish to young children since the birth of my oldest daughter in 2002. I started teaching at Northminster in 2007 and love sharing my language with all the children.

I have been an educator for over 40 years. I attended the University of Georgia, and Georgia State University where I earned a degree in Education with a minor in Psychology. I have taught kindergarten, second, and third grades, but have spent the majority of my career as a Preschool Director and 4 year old teacher. I love working with the sweet, eager little students! Where else can you work where you get a smile and hug each morning?

In addition to serving as Director and teacher at Northminster Day School from 1987-2009, my experience includes serving as school Director and 4 year old teacher at Eastminster Presbyterian Church Preschool in Marietta, GA and at St. John’s Episcopal Church Preschool in Tulsa, OK. I established the schools’ initial curriculum at Eastminster and St. John’s.

I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Debbie Zaricor

I have taught at Northminster Day School for 20 years and find it more rewarding every year. Both of my children attended our school in the 90’s.

I am married and live on Lake Lanier with my husband, Ben. I am a native of Louisiana and was educated at LSU and Mississippi State University before moving to Roswell in the 80’s. My interests include reading, exercising, cooking, decorating, and lake activities. Teaching children is my favorite and most rewarding endeavor. Since the 90’s, I have seen many young children come to our school and watched them grow and develop into fine adults that both parents and the community are proud of.

I take special pride in my role of being one of the first early influences in their development and work my hardest to insure that every day is not only a milestone in learning but a day filled with fun for the children. I understand and balance the importance of being adults tomorrow with the necessity of being children today.

We recently welcomed our identical twin boys, so we are very busy! I am excited to be part of the Northminster Day School this year and continue my love and passion for teaching children. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

I have been a teacher at Northminster for 12 years. I started subbing when my youngest was in the 18 mos old class and fell in love with the school and teachers. I have had the pleasure of working with the babies, 2’s, 4’s, and Young 5’s. I can’t tell you the joy one feels when you see their little faces light up using the “big potty” for the first time to being able to write their name! I feel fortunate to love what I do!

I have taught Religious Education & Summer Bible School at my church and currently work  in the church nursery on Sundays at NPC. I live in Johns Creek with my husband and two daughters. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Northminster Day School has been a big part of my life for a long time as all three of my children attended Preschool here. After joining the board as a parent representative, I eventually took a job two years ago as a two year old teacher. For so many of the children, this class will be their first experience going to school. My goal is to make it a fun and loving environment for the kids.

I have three wonderful children, Brady 16, Meghan 14, and Sean 10, who all attended Northminster Day School. They were blessed with a warm and nurturing first school experience and I am thrilled to be back in this preschool community. I am originally from Michigan and received my elementary education degree from Michigan State University. I taught in the Cobb County Schools for 6 years prior to raising my family. I enjoyed my years at home with my children, volunteering and being their #1 fan.

I am excited to be back in the classroom working with the precious students at NDS. In my free time, you can find my husband and I cheering in the stands at a ball game or hockey rink, along with playing tennis, running, biking, and traveling.

I grew up in Mobile, AL and attended Auburn University where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in vocal performance. I then went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in voice from Georgia State University. After receiving my Master’s Degree, I taught private voice lessons for several years, and continued to perform. I sang with the Atlanta Opera chorus for several seasons and was a staff singer for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. During this time, I developed a career in the restaurant industry. I worked my way up from waiter to eventually serving as General Manager for Here To Serve restaurant group.

After the birth of my two children, Jackson (8) and Laurel (6), I took some time off to focus on motherhood. After moving from downtown Atlanta to Roswell in 2011, I was overjoyed to discover Northminster Day School. Both of my kids completed their preschool years here and I began serving here last year as a helper in the baby room. When the music position became available this year, I was thrilled to be asked to fill the space. I love teaching and am passionate about developing a love for music in young children. My classes focus on movement, rhythm instruments, developing listening skills, and, of course, singing songs!

I continue to perform with my church choir, First Baptist Atlanta, where I am an occasional soloist and ensemble member. I love to read, cook, and garden.

Besides being a teacher, I am a wife and mother to three wonderful children who keep me quite busy. In my free time, you can usually find me cheering for my kids at a local soccer field or chasing down balls on the nearest tennis court. I also enjoy quiet moments with a book and a cup of coffee.

I am excited to be on the staff here at Northminster Day School and I enjoy all the wonderful families that make this place so special. I have spent my entire career working with children from teens to pre-school age. I started as a college recruiter talking to teens all day and then earned my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and spent my days talking to elementary aged kids. Both groups are fun and I have found that if you take the time to talk with any child, any age, you will almost always walk away with a smile!

I started teaching to Pre-k and Kindergarten aged children at my church and have enjoyed continuing on that path here at Northminster. This is a wonderful school filled with great kids and great families that support them!

I am originally from California but have lived in Georgia most of my life. From early on, I have always had a love for children and knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I graduated from North Georgia College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and, over time, have kept my teacher certification up to date. After college, I taught Pre-K for 2 years and First Grade for eight years, and I have also volunteered as a religion school teacher at my church for many years. I decided to stop teaching to stay home and raise my family. I love spending time with my husband Jim, daughter Megan, son Jared (who attended NDS for two years), and our cute orange tabby kitten named Lucy.

At NDS, I have really enjoyed working as a substitute teacher, PNO teacher, Fun Friday teacher, and currently a teacher in the 12-17 months class. I love being with all of these sweet, smart, and fun-loving children and being a part of this very special school!

This is my first year at NDS.   I am from Michigan, but have lived in Georgia for many years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from KSU.   I taught at Roswell North Elementary for ten years until the birth of my son. I have been a stay at home mom, volunteering at Northwood Elementary often. I became acquainted with NDS while babysitting for a student. I was very impressed with the day school and wanted to join this great group of educators. I am so excited to be working with the little ones in the 18-23 month class. I had almost forgotten how much joy children this age can bring to my days.
