We all know someone who has struggled or is struggling due to unemployment or underemployment.  Northminster Presbyterian Church is stepping up to provide
assistance and encouragement to these people in our congregation and community
through its new Northminster Job Networking Ministry.

The Job Ministry at Northminster is dedicated to reaching into the community and helping those people who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change.  We help by providing networking opportunities with professionals in industry, by providing insight and tools to help you improve your job search and by providing fellowship and prayer.

At our meetings, we provide light refreshments and a program on the basics of job searching, as well as access to industry/profession guides, additional sessions on Boomers in the Job Market, how to put together your “Elevator Pitch” as well as prayer partner opportunities.

The meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.  We gather in the Fellowship Hall – There will be signs and plenty of volunteers in front of the church to direct you to the right room!

Schedule:

• 6:45pm – 7:00pm – Gather, Meet, Register
• 7:30pm – 7:45pm – Opening and Program (Opening, Resume, Marketing Plan)
• 8:00pm – 8:15pm – Sign-up for Industry/Profession Guides
• 8:15pm – 8:45pm – Breakout sessions (Elevator Speech, The Boomer Challenge and Prayer Partners)
• 8:45pm – 9:00pm – Closing

As we move forward, we will look for input from you on what topics and speakers we can bring and what services we can provide to help you make that career change that you need.
